I have been trying to quantify it. Obviously Berto was the superior fighter, but who the heck told him to come out with the shoulderroll. Its like having Tom Brady at QB and deciding against the best running d in the league to bench Brady and just run the Wild Cat for the first quarter...when youve never ran the Wildcat before. It literally makes 0 sense. You never do the shoulder roll before and then decide to break it out against a southpaw who even besides being a southpaw doesn't really fit that defensive strategy. If Berto just doesnt get crushed those first 2 rounds and isnt forced to fight blind the whole fight he wins easy. I mean maybe in memory of one of the greatest trainers of all time passing the two corners agreed to implement the worst possible fight plans, but other than that I am at a loss with both sides in this fight.

In All Honesty Whoever Advised Berto On the Shoulder Roll is a Joke

He was terribly ineffective using it. Almost as if he'd never even worked on it before. I almost feel like he watched Broner use it against DeMarco and said to himself "fuk it ima use it too."

lol hek yea dude straight wannabe n he also was tappin his own back of the head tryna make it seem like it was an illegal punch in the first knockdown, but it was a clear loop left hand that hurt him first n wobble him all up lol
props to him for trying some that has worked for Floyd n Broner n actually getting in the ring with but it was a bad failed, he doesnt have the body agility to do some like that, Floyd, Broner, n Toney are like catsLast edited by TX_BOXNG; 11-25-2012, 09:04 PM.

Berto had the ****tiest shoulder roll i'd ever seen.
It was absolutely horrendous.
He saw Broner last week and decided to copy not only the defense but also his mannerisms (pouting, shaking his head no, grunting excessively loud) except he failed miserably at it.
Berto had a terrible gameplan.
