  • Comments Thread For: Wilder vs. Stiverne Rematch Ordered By WBC, Luis Ortiz is Out!

The World Boxing Council, through President Mauricio Sulaiman, has issued a ruling - according to its Clean Boxing Program protocol - to withdraw their sanction of Deontay Wilder's scheduled defense on November 4th at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, against Luis Ortiz. The ruling was made after it was revealed last week that Ortiz failed a pre-fight drug test. Further, it was ordered that Wilder will fight his mandatory Bermane Stiverne.

Another scalp for Wilder's resume. Best HW resume in boxing; Stiverne, Povetkin, Ortiz.

Luis Ortiz is a cheater. He has no one to blame but himself. You guys praise vada until one of your favorite fighters test positive then all of a sudden it’s a conspiracy theory

That's the name of the game. You have to disclose all medications PERIOD!!! Should be an easy fight and hopefully from here maybe set up a fight with Parker next year and hopefully Joshua. Rooting for Wilder all they way though!!! One of the most honest fighters and you gotta respect that!

You must have GGG as #1 P4P then with Pirog, Martinez, Canelo, Cotto, Froch, Quillin, Lemieux, Jacobs, etc on his "resumé."

Just as well, cuz if he would've fought Oritz, then he'd have an excuse in the form of mandatory in Stiverne next. Now he'll have to face Joshua after Stiverne.
