Their biggest prospect flat out quit and then shoved his foot in his mouth in the post fight interview. If they keep quiet he'll just fade quickly. Maidana will probably be heading back to his homeland and party for weeks. Golden Boy needs to offer him a boatload of money and get him back in the ring while he is in poor shape (ala Sugar Ray Leonard vs Roberto Duran II).
Ortiz needs to reevaluate his career and if he wants it he can beat Maidana. Within 6 months from now Ortiz needs to get into the ring with Maidana and beat him. He can do it too. He was ahead by a few points even with his poor strategy.
Ortiz needs to make a statement to the press claiming he flat out dropped the ball.
I hope he doesn't pull a Kelly Pavlik and go AWOL and come back to fight a bum and then another bum on small shows.
