  • At least Frank Bruno took his beatings like a real man. AJ quit like a woman!

For all of Bruno's limitations, he always took his beatings like a man. When Tyson was teeing off on him with constant bombs, he never once looked to the ref for help. He just took his inevitable beatings.

When Lewis was teeing off on him with his left hand all in his face while loading up his right hand and the ref jumped in to warn Lewis, Bruno didn't walk away and put his hands on the corner. He turned right around and looked at the ref saying lets keep fighting and put his hands up getting ready for the inevitable stoppage from another heavy assault of right hands.

AJ howerver turned and walked to his corner, put his hands on the ropes, ref told him to turn around and ask if he was alright an AJ didn't put his hands up, basically saying he quit.

At least Bruno went out on his shield...... AJ has no heart and embarrassed his family name and country.

Absolutely disgraceful and he couldn't carry Frank Bruno's spit bucket.

Not meaning to sound feminist... but "quit like a woman"- are women known for quitting?? Odd thing to say.

Also there should be no shame in quitting, especially as it isn't as black and white as that. Either way, the right guy wins.

Very worrying the way he seemed to lose the heart to fight. No way back once that goes.

Maybe he has made enough money and just doesn't fancy that work now. He's not a guy like Floyd/Canelo who boxed their whole lives and never knew a life outside boxing. He may think i'm done with this.

Yeah it's usually the dirtbag dad who will leave and quit on his kids before the mom ever does.

AJ acted like a ***** in that fight not a woman.

You do wonder when a fighter acts like that when it gets tough in there.

You can work on whatever you want in the gyms and technical aspects, but there’s no training that can make you want to bite down and fight.

Did you see his little interview with Carl Frampton the other day? AJ said if he had another war like the Wlad fight, he would call it a day. He was saying it in regards to believing he should be good enough to not get into wars now, but the reality is that sooner or later, you will get into another war.

So yeah, even if his comments had a different meaning, it still says that he isn’t mentally prepared for the reality of having to go into that kind of war.

True, the women's fight of Persoon and Taylor showed a lot more heart than Joshua and no quit in them.

Delfine took much more punishment but was not deterred one bit.

He got up 4 times and probably had a concussion. That's not quitting to me.

Boxing fans are the worst for stuff like this.

Please..... He walked to his corner and put his hands on the ropes, when the ref was looking to continue the fight, he didn't even attempt to put his hands up. His mouth piece wasn't even in because he spit that shyt out knowing the ref would have no choice but to stop it.

The very definition of a quitter.

I don't think he quit, I think his head was spinning and his legs couldn't move.

He kept getting up immediately. It would have been easier to quit on the floor like Charles Martin.
