  • Fights that should have happened but never did

Manny Pacquiao vs. Edwin Valero - This fight was guaranteed to happen, Arum signed Valero as an in house fighter to build him up as a future Pacquiao opponenet and possibly the man to defeat him, but Valero was weak and got involved with drugs, bad people, and killed his wife and than himself. Would have been one of the greatest all action fights of our time between two of the most fearsome ferocious and most explosive punchers.

Manny Pacquiao vs. Nate Campbell - Pacquiao won the wbc 135 title, and was actually going to fight Nate Campbell in a unifer, but the call to fight Oscar De La Hoya came about, I am sure if Nate was in Manny's shoes he would pic Oscar over him it would have been a damn good scrap though for the unified champion at 135.

Sugar Ray Leonard vs. Aaron Pryor

Jack Dempsey versus any top black heavyweight - he fought no blacks

Sugar Ray Robinson vs slick Charley Burley

Lennox Lewis vs. Riddick Bowe - Bowe ducked Lewis and even tossed his belt in the trash rather than defending it against him and than joined the military.

Mike Tyson vs. David Tua - fight guaranteed to end in a knockout between two short and stocky power punching heavyweights.

Mike Tyson vs. George Foreman - Foreman was supposed to fight Tyson during his comeback but fight never happened. I think Foreman probably would have knocked Tyson out after surviving the early onslaught with his underrated cross guard defense.

Larry Holmes vs. George Foreman - Holmes claims Foreman ducked him, these two should have fought but never did.

Erik Morales vs. Juan Manuel Marquez - The only guys who never fought each other of the big 4, Pacquiao, Morales, Barrera, and Marquez. Everyone fought each other except these two guys.

Miguel Cotto vs. Ricky Hatton at 140 - everyone wanted to see this fight but it never happened, Most people feel Cotto would have wiped the floor with him, but I think it would have been more competitive than people think.

Floyd Mayweather vs. Antonio Margarito - 8 million on the table for Floyd, but Floyd didn't want to take it, and instead held out to fight cash cow and super star Oscar De La Hoya for big money.

Floyd Mayweather vs. Kostya Tszyu - would have been a great fight at 140

Floyd Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao - ???

        Floyd vs Cotto in 07
If Cotto didn't live to far from Floyd we would have gotten to see that fight.

        Floyd vs Margarito in 07
If they were fighting to see who the best was then we would have gotten to see that fight.

        Floyd vs Pac
Had Pac met Floyd when Floyd hadn't lost his urge we would have gotten to see this fight.

Winky shoulda got a shot at Oscar instead of Campas

also Winky deserved an immediate rematch with Vargas

Roy didn't have to fight Byrd in 03, but it woulda been interesting
much better than killing his career by going back down for Tarver

obviously, Tyson-Holyfield in 1990, Tokyo be damned

            Floyd-Casamayor shoulda happened at 130

            Wlad-Povetkin a couple yrs ago

            Moorer-Lewis

Mark Johnson - Yuri Arbachakov : 2 heavy handed flyweights who were considered the "man" in the division. would have come with a great back story too. American champion versus the 1st Soviet professional champion.

GREAT PICKS MAN. I can explain the rest, but the TUA-TYSON fight always confused me. Mike was supposely fighting for money only at that point of his career, Tua in the late 90's had massive backings and a huge amount of hype. Ike was arguably more dangerous than late 90's Mike and they threw him to Ike without any fear, why not go for Mike?

This seem like a big payday for Tyson and Tua.
