    He was getting on a bit at 32 but, had made 19 defences and not lost since winning the title so he was still a great win for McGuigan.

      It was a combination of Pedroza having 2 tough wars with Lockridge and then meeting another fierce young lion in McGuigan. Barry was a really tenacious guy with good punching power, I guess he was too fast for Pedroza too.

        I wonder how much the weight was starting to hurt Pedroza at that point? He had a terrible time at making 126lb, so I can imagine at 32 and after 12 years as a pro it was a big struggle. I've also heard that he did have a really difficult time with the weight for the Barry fight.
