  • [LMAO!] Microsoft: Shameless Apple copier; Plus: Steve Ballmer screaming in a mall (VIDEO)

"Steve Ballmer was on hand to open Microsoft's seventh retail store [yesterday] in Bellevue, Washington, right in Microsoft's 'backyard,'" Jay Yarow reports for The Business Insider. "There were big lines for the opening, but it seems like it's mostly because Microsoft was giving away tickets to Miley Cyrus for the first 1,000 in line."

MacDailyNews Note: Yes, we're all sitting here shaking our heads.

    Full article here.

MacDailyNews Take: Someone really should explain to Ballmer T. Clown what a microphone does.

Microsoft, a company which famously "missed the Internet," should realize that this isn't the early 1990s. People aren't in the dark about what's happening; at the whim of paid-off computer magazines and therefore easily fooled; for example: Microsoft claiming "innovation" as they introduce an upside-down and backwards fake Mac OS to the world and actually get a bunch of zombie sheep to line up for it at midnight (no free Salt-N-Pepa tickets required).

This is late 2010, Microsoft. Most people have seen multiple Apple Store grand openings online, if not in person. For Microsoft to pretend that this isn't a blatant, rather sickening, and fake (Miley Cyrus tickets to gin up a line) Bizarro World version of an Apple Store grand opening proves they still haven't discovered the Internet yet.

This video is simply more proof that Microsoft are a bunch of sickeningly duplicitous fools headed by a complete clown who needs no external amplification (may he remain Microsoft CEO forever). That he has to high five a bunch of prepubescent girls on their way to collect their Miley Cyrus tickets is, however, absolutely priceless.

Excerpts from a BusinessWeek interview with Steve Jobs, October 12, 2004:

Steve Jobs: Apple had a monopoly on the graphical user interface for almost 10 years. That's a long time. And how are monopolies lost? Think about it. Some very good product people invent some very good products, and the company achieves a monopoly. But after that, the product people aren't the ones that drive the company forward anymore. It's the marketing guys or the ones who expand the business into Latin America or whatever. Because what's the point of focusing on making the product even better when the only company you can take business from is yourself? So a different group of people start to move up. And who usually ends up running the show? The sales guy... Then one day, the monopoly expires for whatever reason. But by then the best product people have left, or they're no longer listened to. And so the company goes through this tumultuous time, and it either survives or it doesn't.

BusinessWeek: Is this common in the industry?
Steve Jobs: Look at Microsoft -- who's running Microsoft?

    BusinessWeek: Steve Ballmer.
Steve Jobs: Right, the sales guy. Case closed.
