Ever since reports came out saying that Spence vs. Garcia sold 50k tickets and had 360k PPV buys, the vast majority of the boxing fans credited this to Mikey Garcia and his "mexican audience". I am here to debunk this by displaying their TV ratings, ticket sale numbers, fan base/social media following and show whose name is searched more using Google Trends
Proof #1: Errol Spence had better TV Ratings than Mikey Garcia
Spence vs. Peterson, January 20th, 2018
The fight averaged 637,000 viewers and peaked at 695,000 viewers

Garcia vs. Lipinets, March 10th, 2018
The fight averaged 618,000 viewers and peaked at 689,000 viewers

Spence vs. Ocampo, June 16th, 2018
The fight averaged 683,000 viewers and peaked at 726,000 viewers

Garcia vs. Easter, July 28th, 2018
The fight averaged 680,000 viewers and peaked at 725,000 viewers

NOTE: Errol Spence was fighting a mandatory challenger no one was familiar with and was still able to get a higher average viewership and peak than Mikey Garcia who was fighting a unification fight with Robert Easter who at the time was the longest reigning lightweight champion
Proof #2: Errol Spence sells more tickets and has larger crowds at his events
Spence vs. Peterson, January 20th, 2018
On fight night, in front of 12,107, Spence broke Peterson down mentally and physically eventually forcing Peterson's trainer Barry Hunter to stop the fight a second into round 8.

Garcia vs. Lipinets, March 10th, 2018
Garcia's bout against Lipinets drew 7,800 fans at Freeman Coliseum in San Antonio

Spence vs. Ocampo June 16th, 2018
In front of a sellout crowd of 12,604, Spence knocked Ocampo out in round 1 to retain his IBF title.

Garcia vs. Easter, July 28th, 2018
Before a crowd of 12,560, Garcia dropped Easter in round 3 on his way to a unanimous decision win with scores of 116–111, 117–110 and 118–109, to become the unified WBC and IBF lightweight champion.

NOTE: Staples Center has a maximum capacity of 21k, but Mikey could only draw in 12,560 fans. Errol Spence drew in a sellout crowd of 12,604. If Spence fought Ocampo in a larger venue, he would've definitely reached the 13k mark.
Proof #3: Errol Spence has more fans
Evidence of this is their social media following, neither Errol or Mikey do things outside of boxing which would gain them a significant amount of followers from non-boxing fans so their social media following should be an accurate indicator of how large their fan bases are
