Looks like Yahoo is getting rid of the chat. Which is powered by yahoo messenger, which is what they are getting rid of. Yahoo has another chat app in the beta invite only phase

It's working again, but I suggest you download the app now just in case yahoo decides to do that mularkey again having the app will make things easier if they decide to make the chat disappear
