Are elbow strokes allowed? Are neck strikes allowed?

I am not an MMA fan, but I took Takeown do ( it is crap ) did Wrestling in my youth. IMO neck and elbow strikes are better than kicks, punches, and can end fight much quicker than choke holds, punches, and kicks can.

Are elbow strikes allowed in MMA? Are neck strikes allowed in MMA? Just asking.
