Cole is a great heel, but he showed he can be a really good face when he had that brief face run in NXT. He's also really popular with the fans despite being a heel because he's such a great wrestler.

But if he reunites with the Elite and turns face, it might be a while from now. Remember Cole, Fish, and O'Reilly attacked the Young Bucks before Cole got injured and took time off. So they have to follow up with that.

I guess they were planning on the Elite vs. the Undisputed trios feud, but Cole got injured, Khan didn't renew Fish's contract for some reason so he's on Impact now, and O'Reilly hasn't been on TV in months.

Interesting to see what direction they're going with Cole.

Yeah see? If one of those guys is gone and the other hasn't been around for months, then that feud is dead. The crowd cheers for him, so go with it. But leave it to Tony Khan to kill someone's momentum, like he did with Britt Baker, Wardlow and FTR. But if he finally got smart, he'd have Cole be the top guy down the line and FTR hold the tag titles by mid to late 2023. Give MJF about a year with the belt, one of those Roman Reigns type runs.
