That's another thing AEW has, a working relationship with New Japan. Haven't they even defended their titles on AEW shows? I believe Lance Archer just won the New Japan US Title from John Moxley on an episode of Dynamite a few weeks ago. Who has the world title there, Omega or someone from Japan? Or isn't it still Moxley? Because that would be a hell of a title match down the line too. In fact, I think Moxley is defending that title at All Out.
Yeah Moxley defended his title against Karl Anderson and Yugi Nagata, both on Dynamite. I remember seeing Nagata wrestle Jericho and other Cruiserweights in WCW back in the day.
Can't wait to see Daniel Bryan Danielson wrestle in AEW, and New Japan hopefully. I could see Bryan winning the IWGP US title someday.
I heard Braun Strowman might be joining Impact, which sucks since no one including myself watches Impact. Not sure where Bray Wyatt will end up.
Punk showing up on Rampage reminded
me of the moment Hall walked out on Nitro, Bryan showing up would be like Nash joining him. Obviously not the same sort of angle but feels like that same kind of potentially game changing moment. Could be some great times ahead for wrestling fans.
For sure man. We haven't seen Punk in a wrestling ring for over 7 years, and he even said he would never come back or at least had no interest at all even for a non-WWE promotion.
And Bryan at one point was the most over guy in WWE, he headlined Wrestlemania this year.
I get the same feeling too. This really is a turning point for AEW being serious competition. WWE has really been hit or miss for the longest time since the attitude era ended, but they definitely it a low point recently. I can see why people stop watching, but AEW on the other hand just feels really fresh. They really know how to utilize their talent. Look at Malakai Black he's on TV only for a few minutes here and there and had just two squash matches so far, but he's already made a huge impact. Vince had no clue what to do with him.
Imagine if Bryan debuts in AEW All Out with his old school ROH theme song, Final Countdown. That would be epic:

Wyatt should sign with AEW and take over The Dark Order.
And the weird puppets lol. "Yeah dude." Would be funny to see what Windham Rotunda could do with puppets of Cody, Omega and members of The Elite. Maybe even an MJF puppet. A feud between the two of them with their promo skills would be electric.

You’re spot on about this being the moment that WWE has to start taking AEW seriously. Personally, I believe bringing back Brock and Becky on the same night was a knee jerk reaction Punk’s debut.
Bryan is a huge acquisition, he’s still the best pure worker in the business IMO, and as you say he literally just headlined Wrestlemania, seeing him come out to his ROH theme would be epic.
