Sad Ukranians hated Russians so much, that they'd rather their nation be destroyed in a US/NATO proxy war

Thats why I find it hard to sympathise with them

They must realise their country is done.. Ukraine is no more. Many young Ukranians were already leaving and wanting to leave, because of poor living standards.
    Lol

    Talk about contradicting yourself.

In one sentence you say Ukraine has poor living standards, in another you say they hate Russia.

    And why is that?

Because Russia has nothing to offer them but delusions of grandeur and shytty living standards.

Why do all the countries that used to be dependent on USSR but in recent decades got a taste of Western life hate Russia and never want to go back to the previous setting?

Quit watching those dumbass videos and talk to people who actually deal/have dealt with Russia.

Funny. Over 90% of Ukraine speaks Russian and the people were like brothers before Putin’s moves post Crimea in 2014. But yeah, they hate Russians… sure.

      • Some news...
Ukraine says it has taken out another bridge that is vital for Russian forces occupying the southern Kherson region.

It says the bridge on the dam at Nova Kakhovka - which it has attacked before - is now impassable. The claim has not been independently verified.

It comes just weeks after the key Antonivsky Bridge was put out of action by Ukrainian forces.

Ukraine is waging a counter-offensive towards Kherson city, which Russia captured in the early days of the war.

"The destruction of the road bridge of the Nova Kakhovka dam was ensured, with the result that it was taken out of operation," the Ukrainian army's Operational Command South posted to Facebook.

In a daily intelligence update, UK defence officials said Ukrainian precision strikes were likely to have made the road crossing over the Dnieper River "unusable for heavy military vehicles". Nova Kakhovka lies about 55km (34 miles) north-east of Kherson.

Russian forces had only succeeded in making superficial repairs to the main Antonivsky Bridge, the officials said, which Western military sources said was "completely unusable" after a Himars artillery rocket attack last month.

The main rail bridge near Kherson was also further damaged last week, the UK update said.

"Even if Russia manages to make significant repairs to the bridges, they will remain a key vulnerability," the UK defence ministry said.

It added that thousands of Russian troops west of the river were now "almost certainly reliant on just two pontoon ferry crossing points" for ground resupplies.

Military analysts say there is a growing risk of the troops being cut off from the rest of main Russian occupying forces.
The attack is part of a Ukrainian effort to isolate Russian troops, with the ultimate goal of recapturing the entire region.

If it proves successful the ambitious campaign would provide a boost for Kyiv by retaking from Russia the only regional capital it has so far captured since the invasion in February.

Kherson, which had a population of about 290,000 before the war, is currently administered by Moscow-backed officials.

Last month, Russia said its military focus was no longer only on eastern Ukraine but on its southern regions of Kherson and Zaporizhzhia too.

        • Massive explosion on Crimea again. This time an ammo-depot.

Russia hasn't said what caused it yet, but they say there's no casualties. I have my popcorn ready when their 'explanation' comes.

            Russian military are the best

Guided missile cruiser gets sunk, no casualties

Entire air base hammered, no casualties

Ammo depot and tons of explosives detonate, no casualties

            • Plumes of smoke is just being observed at a military airfield at Simferopol on Crimea. I await confirmation and the usual russian explanation of a smoker in the jetfuel storage dump.

Edit: It's allegedly the airbase close to this that has been hit:

              • Article I read said the explosions in Crimea weren't caused by missile attacks. Is it most likely Ukrainian special forces on the ground planting explosives?

There's only been 1 Russian soldier death during the whole special operation. That was because the soldier was trying to feed the poor starving Ukrainian civilians when he was shot down by 500 Nazis........

                  • Exclusive: Russia starts stripping jetliners for parts as sanctions bite

MOSCOW, Aug 8 (Reuters) - Russian airlines, including state-controlled Aeroflot (AFLT.MM), are stripping jetliners to secure spare parts they can no longer buy abroad because of Western sanctions, four industry sources told Reuters.

The steps are in line with advice Russia's government provided in June for airlines to use some aircraft for parts to ensure the remainder of foreign-built planes can continue flying at least through 2025.

Sanctions imposed on Russia after it sent its troops into Ukraine in late February have prevented its airlines from obtaining spare parts or undergoing maintenance in the West.

Aviation experts have said that Russian airlines would be likely to start taking parts from their planes to keep them airworthy, but these are the first detailed examples.

At least one Russian-made Sukhoi Superjet 100 and an Airbus A350, both operated by Aeroflot, are currently grounded and being disassembled, one source familiar with the matter said.

EXCLUSIVE: Vladimir Putin's 'panic-stricken' officials in secret bid to end bloody war in Ukraine

Senior officials and members of President Vladimir Putin's elite are said to be "panicking" and want to negotiate in a bid to end the bloody war in Ukraine, experts claim.

A highly placed Kremlin official has secretly approached the West to help end the Ukraine invasion, it was claimed last night.

The secret member of Vladimir Putin ’s elite is said to have revealed the Kremlin is in panic and desperate for the bloody war to end.

Astonishing claims about the move were made in a report circulated to Western intelligence agencies.

It is believed senior officers and officials close to Putin are alarmed by biting Western sanctions and the failing economy caused by war.

Some Kremlin figures are also concerned about the increasingly alarming risks being taken such as fighting at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant in Ukraine.

The approach is likely to have been made to CIA contacts or Western diplomats, behind Putin’s back.

I called this a while ago. Same thing for the auto industry. All those people who drive German, American, Japanese or Korean brands, i.e most of the population, will not be able to purchase parts for maintenance. When the iPhone 14 launches and only the rich will be able to buy it on the black market, while the rest of the people won't, that'll be when the actual "ohh it's really happening" feeling wiill kick in.
