im bored of arguing the same things, weve done this one already, my point was always that it is not realistic to get it back and other analysts are now saying that too, read the bloomberg article that is about as objective as you can get you cant just dismiss that as russian propaganda... when do you and the other hawks say enough is enough if no progress is made? 5 years? 10 years? until every ukranian is dead?

You said it was all for nothing. Ukraine has taken back a huge part of its country and peoples that had been taken over by a foreigner aggressor.

If you or I were conscipted to defend the UK from an invader, managed to liberate a 5th of the country and millions of people....imagine someone telling you it was....all for nothing.

what have they done in this great counteroffensive? **** all... what miracle is suddenly going to allow them to break through next counteroffensive? none... the russians have dug in now i saw a quote from american defence advisor saying theyve not seen a defense like it in 100 years, they havent even got to the proper defences yet the ukranians...but i dont have a huge problem with the west funding one more counteroffensive and then thats it, throw all the money in the pot that you were willing to and if there is great progress carry on, if not then enough is enough

When you ignore or change the point at hand, that says it all.

Its not all for nothing. They can fight for their country and people, all they want. Imagine if the UK just gave up during the German bombing of London.

And I was even wrong, yes wrong on what I quoted. Russia currently has now...just under a fifth or 20% of Ukrainian land and control of those peoples.

In terms of what Ukraine has liberated, i think thats more like one half of what Russia did have.

They are freeing their lands and peoples from Russian aggression every single day. Yes it's hard. Yes it may he slow. But you or I can't tell them to not fight for their country and people. Anymore than any other country or peoples could have told us to surrender during the German bombing of London.
