Here’s my extremely premature takes from tonight’s games:

The Bucks were excellent tonight. They remain the team to beat for me.

The Nets are obviously still major contenders but they’re no longer the clear favourites without Kyrie.

The Warriors will be contenders this season. When/if Klay is back healthy they will be a real force in the West.

The Lakers are a shell of the championship team from 2020, they’re older, slower and less dynamic. Worse defensively and not enough shooters.

I believe last season is when the tides have turned. More competition, Lebron on his way out, maybe a couple more years.

Different superstars making way to the throne, Giannis already did it.

I’d bet different teams from each conference make the finals this time around, and don’t think it’ll be Lakers.
