  • Does your casino get packed for Pacquiao fights?

I live in a predominantly Filipino, boombye (East Indian, panna aka indigenous, white (puti) neighborhood. The "other" casino in our town does not show pacman fights, but the street station McPhillips casino is Pinoy central man! You pay cover, sit in the bar, or lounge, or viewing, or games tables, or restaurant, or cafe, or closed down bingo hall, upstairs, downstairs, standing room, closed circuit ppv! With... Awesome tagai beers, tons of security but plenty of chefs to keep you loaded all night with food.

I swear man, you would think it was the Superbowl! I don't know any other fighter that can fill up a casino like that. Sometimes we wait till 12 am for the fights man! When the singers are bold the fans cheer, same with every punch PAC lands. Sometimes when they showed the opponents face they were cheering too.

Who other than Muhammad Ali was this iconic since Mike Tyson? I swear to god man, I was pregaming it at home so when I got to the casino I barfed in the toilet so security followed me up to the bar. They just gave me a few minute eye ball test, they came back to my table and cut me off from booze as well as my buddies could not serve me nothing. I was cut off but got free pop for the rest of the night without getting bounced from the bar.

My fondest memories are of the Pacquiao fights on his meteroic rise to the top and then some more top echelon highly contested still great fights after. It's a lovely affair when everybody is rocking the rosaries, cocoa beads, jerseys and mp hats. I'm gonna miss this, Manny Pacquiao, GOAT and nostalgic value when our little but dangerous friend is gone.

Me and my buddies went to watch the pac- algierie fight at a Filipino restaurant. Cover was 5$ with a complimentary beer worth $4.50. so one of my buddies never drinks, so he ordered 5 cokes , the equivalent of 5$. Cheap? Yeah. To him, pop was like gold lol.

            No.

Don’t have many Filipinos in the UK. Most are nurses.
