Chavez Jr. lost to Silva in a boxing match? Dude, that's embarrassing to get beat in your own sport and by someone way past prime like that. Boxing fans should be mum for a little while now until some boxer can beat an MMA fighter in an MMA cage fight. Only time I've ever heard of it was Ray Mercer. I guess both sides are even for now.

I don't really get the bragging. This point was proven a long time ago in those early UFC tournaments. Ground fighting usually trumps striking, unless the grappler has good takedown defense and punching power and can catch the grappler with a good, hard shot to knock him out. But back then, they couldn't defend takedowns or defend themselves on the ground, so once it went to the ground they were screwed, like a turtle on its back. So MMA fighters will usually be superior in the cage and boxers in a boxing ring. How hard is that to understand?

Chavez Jr has been in and out of rehab and didn't even bother to train hard enough to make the weight.
