  • Comments Thread For: Brandon Adams Demolishes Sonny Duversonne in Two

Former world title-challenger and winner of The Contender, Brandon Adams (21-3, 13 KOs) weighed 156 pounds for his eight-round fight as he takes on late-replacement Sonny Duversonne in the main event of the 2nd card presented by Ring City USA.

The fight will headline a card that will be seen live on NBC Sports Network at 9 PM ET.

Adams, of Watts, California, is promoted by Banner Promotions and The Tournament of Contenders, will be making his first start since his gutsy effort when he took WBC Middleweight champion Jermall Charlo to a 12-round unanimous decision on June 29, 2019 in Houston, Texas.

Duversonne of Avon Park, Florida, who also checked in at 156 lbs, has a record of 11-2-2 with eight knockouts. His only two losses have been close decisions to undefeated prospects Lorenzo Simpson and Chordale Booker.

The fight will take place in the parking lot of the famed Wild Card Boxing Club.

Shame that Serhii Bohachuk is out, I was looking forward to this step up against Adams, and I could be wrong, but I think we’re still in for a quality night of well-matched up boxing overall.

War Ring City USA & Ceballo!

The new opponent's record sounds nice with the prospect losses, but looking at the overall story with his 11-2-2 record he's 1-2-1 vs guys with a winning record.

Unfortunate the original fight fell out. Unlucky for Ring City.

Should be 2-1-1. He beat Chordale Booker in his last fight back on Showtime imo.

Duversonne is solid if you haven’t seen him.

I like Adams and think he’s a solid talent himself, but I haven’t seen anything previously that makes me think he’s levels ahead of Duversonne, personally. I could be proven wrong in that assessment, until then, I think is a pretty intriguing matchup.

For sure. I put a tenner on Duversonne for similar reasons. Glad to see him getting another shot on tv so soon.

Didn’t expect Ceballo-Gomez to be up first, just now able to tune in.

4th to Ceballo., and according to Gomez’s corner & the announcers the first 3 went to Ceballo as well.

                I’m high on Ceballo personally
