Yes, this is possible. But you have to do this in the right order, the right way, else the results will be slow and you'll get down on yourself. First, start off with a good diet that drops your carb intake in intervals. Low carbs before bed, etc. Do lots of cardio in your routines. Once you start shedding the 5kgs you want to (steadily, just because you drop them almost immediately doesn't mean anything, they will pile back on if you stop doing cardio or eating right.) then start lifting heavier weight and increase your protein intake. When you are in your "cutting" stages, keep your protein intake moderate. 2 Shakes a day or so for a total of 5 meals with a ratio of about 1.5:1 carbs to pounds of bodyweight. Once you start noticing strength/endurance increases, add another protein shake and put more carbs in, about a 2.5:1 ratio. This should keep you solid but add some muscle bulk to you. Just remember the ONE thing that everyone forgets - If you start to weigh MORE after you start exercising/lifting (if you lift), it is a GOOD thing, muscle is more dense than fat, so you can put more healthy weight on.

You can't do it at the same time. But do what Ringo said.
