  • condition / maybe joining a boxing gym, advice?

Although I have a medical condition I may be joining a boxing gym. Its a good one where apparently, they work you up slowly. I formerly had osteoporosis, although that is apparently better now, but still have a very weak back. I also have a problem in my hip which causes pain and weakness. In a boxing gym the kind of things I would be doing would be pad work bag work, maybe some skipping depending, I couldnt spar etc. I could do some bodyweight exercises. Running is difficult.
Does anyone know if this would be pointless, also would they take me on?
I would be doing it as I like it, it would be doubtful Id ever complete professionally, but if I get better I could always enter into competitions. Its fun to see your technique improve, and see more power when you hit the bag. Its a good skill to have.
    Thankyuh
    Thankyou

try buying good running shoes. It very important because when you run you knees, back and part of you legs take the compact of you whole body.

It possibaly to do anything. Id a guy with a brain damage won a countries hero the you could be a boxer

Osteoporosis is the weaking of the bones, right?

But yeah, I would join. Even without sparring, it's a good experience to have and you can reach your potential. It might not be pro material since you have a condition, but you can be the best boxer with (condition).
