  • Deontay Wilder’s Age

Deontay Wilder is now 34 years old. From the eyeball test, it still seems as though he’s getting better.

How many more years do you think he has before he starts to decline, and do you think he will ever lose by being outboxed or knocked out?

HWs generally have longer ring lives and Wilder hasnt taken punishment.

I dont see why he couldnt fight till 40..

Depends whom he fights. If he fights such Breazeales and Stivernes, he is still able to win within next years.
A strong relentless puncher will make him lots of trouble even now. Wilder is very weak when dealing with lots of punches.

He hasn't had any wars, he started far older than almost anyone, and he's gone very few rounds. Also, he doesn't do any road running.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him maintain his peak for a while

how come nobody gives fury any grief for stalling the rematch and waiting for wilder to get older?

            Well, some people do.

It’s honestly pretty obvious that’s what he’s doing.

I am also of the opinion he tried to avoid the rematch with Klitschko. As a friend said, Fury’s a huge challenge the first time you gave him because of his awkwardness. If you can face him a second time he’s easier to figure out.

I didn’t realize he doesn’t even do road work.. does he do any replacement cardio, such as swimming, ballet or folk dance, or jump rope (like Mike Tyson) or basketball like Floyd?

Or does he just spar and hit the bag

I think stalling hurts Fury more. Wilder getting more confident fighting better guys than Fury. Especially if he KOs Ortiz early

                  yeah i hear you....

its just funny how these guys run around saying tank is waiting for loma to get old...and canelo waited(still is) waiting for golovkin to get old

yet they never mention wilders age and how fury has been stalling this unfinished business for some time now

He says he swims a lot and has a lake on his property where he does it. I think in the last Fox special of him and Ortiz he was doing some work in the water
