He signed a contract with Fox and showtime. He isn’t joining DAZN soon. He needs to keep paying his fighters more to keep them, and am referring to those fighters who are promotional free agents.

With Wilder cutting 100m for a 3-fight deal, how long would Charlo (Middleweight), broner etc stay there for? I think the Welterweight are definitely staying with him. PBC has all the belts there, but someone like Charlo might be tempted. Someone like Broner who isn’t serious but can still command a crowd might be tempted.

Haymon Probably thinks of Dazn the way he thought of HBO , If their willing to overpay for one of his fighters he’s more then willing to do business with them. HBO/Dazn is the competition but if he can get some of their budget for his fighters he has no issue having a fighter fight on a rival platform

Haymon benefits in 2 ways , His fighter makes above market value , it also hurts HBO/ Dazn because it depletes the competitions budget to make other fights.

He has no problem having the competition overpay for his fighters , Getting Wade half a million or Molina for 400k on HBO is the same as Dazn willing to pay 50 mil for Wikder to fight Breazeale and Whyte/Klit fights because Dazn is overpaying for what their receiving. Although if Wikder goes to Dazn , this seems to be the first case of sending one of his marquee fighters to a rival platform. But for 50 mil you’d be stupid not to.

Wilder would make stupid cash and that has to take a huge chunk out of Dazn budget.

I'm sure he isn't happy about them taking away from Fox and Showtime, but he has to do right by his fighters. I think he'll look to get them huge temporary contracts, and come back to the PBC. DAZN's current business model isn't sustainable, so his fighters can exploit it in the meantime.

Plus he gets a percentage of their purse either way.

He can see the US landscape, has an idea for what he thinks the aim of DAZN is, and likely doesn't think that the longterm project will work.

In terms of Wilder, still on the outside looking in, getting Breazeale/Joshua/Joshua2 for $100m as Wilder's US TV rights for the next 3 fights is a pretty stellar deal that is only paused by how much Haymon earnestly believes Wilder-Joshua and Wilder-Joshua2 will actually do on PPV.

Broner isn't getting $100m over 3 fights, and neither is Jermall Charlo.

No one is closing ears on worthy deals, but it's going to take a heck of an offer to get folks to make the move over when Haymon is still working with $120m per year to deliver 34 TV dates for Showtime/FOX/FS1 (break it down and you've basically got $4m for each Showtime/FOX card and $1m for each FS1 card) and 4-6 PPVs per year

DAZN is paying Alvarez $35m per fight, paying Wilder $40m for each of the Joshua fights, will likely have to pay Joshua at least that to fight Wilder, pay Golovkin 5 eight-figure paydays and $30m to fight Canelo, three 8-figure paydays for Daniel Jacobs that start with $15m to fight Canelo, and the rest of the deals that they've signed so far (Usyk didn't come cheap either).

They've committed themselves to something like $700m-$750m purses so far on 6 fighters (counting Joshua) over however long.

Now imagine what Jermall Charlo would ask for to get locked in, nevermind someone wreckless like AB.

A billion dollars for a dozen fighters maybe? And that's before Adam Kownacki, Joey Spencer, Ritchardson Hitchens, Efe Ajagba, Joe Joyce and other young studs come on form.
