  • Eddie Hearn reveals texts from Tyson Fury and mocks Frank Warren

Eddie Hearn claims he has spoken several times to Tyson Fury since his fight against Deontay Wilder and hinted at trouble between the Gypsy King and promoter Frank Warren. There is speculation that Fury wants to take a break rather than immediately set up a rematch with Wilder following their blockbuster split-draw, while he was absent from the Manchester Arena on Saturday night for younger brother Tommy’s pro debut despite being down to attend. Hearn is currently trying to find an opponent for Anthony Joshua at Wembley on April 13, and he says Fury could be in the mix for that fight.

‘Yeah he text me a few times, we’ve spoken a few times,’ Hearn said after Dillian Whyte knocked out Dereck Chisora at London’s O2 Arena. ‘Look, Joshua wants to be undisputed and if he can’t get that then he looks at Fury and Dillian. But these guys aren’t lapdogs. They’re not going to turn around and say, “Yep, alright, just tell me what the deal is and I’ll be there”.

‘So these guys, they’re not just a voluntary pick where they’re over the moon to get a shot. They’re in position. So whether it’s Dillian, whether it’s Fury, whether it’s Jarrell Miller, whether it’s Wilder.’ Asked if the deal is harder to make because of Hearn’s poor relationship with Warren, he smiled and replied: ‘Is he with Frank? Well if he’s calling me…’

Hearn made a play to promote Fury when he first returned to boxing and says he wanted the 30-year-old to take on Whyte – a fight that could still happen. He added: ‘Yeah, that’s a great fight. We tried to make that fight before. When Tyson Fury came back, I wanted to do a three-fight deal: warm-up fight, Tony Bellew, Dillian Whyte. Whyte-Fury is a massive fight. That’s a Wembley fight.’

Typical of Hearn he doesnt just keep it under the radar and look to build his relationship with Fury, he instead broadcasts it straight to the media, pisses of Warren, and likely pisses off Fury as well as his business is aired to the world.

Hearn needs to learn when to keep things on the low.

Lol, these comments will change Frank Warrens mind and give Tyson Fury some time before the rematch.

Yeah I agree he should’ve kept quiet tbh. Broadcasting private information will just drive fury to pbc

Being mouthy is his thing, he's just dick swinging.

Doubt he's gonna lose business by airing things. Fury is the one who aired confidential offers from Hearn first remember.

Hearn being a bellend, making unverifiable claims? What's new?

Yeah, that's true. He does just need to keep quiet sometimes.

That said, it's no secret that Fury and Hearn get along quite well, both have admitted it.

So there’s speculation that there’s a rift between Warren and Fury who wants to take a break and doesn’t want a immediate rematch

But a paragraph later Fury is being name dropped as a potential next opponent for AJ

                  I’m confused

This guy is a fucking ******. Hence why he gets booed everywhere he goes. Some part of the crowd were even booing Joshua too. He just doesn’t know when not to open his might gob.
