  • How competitive could Canelo-Fielding be?

This isn't to **** on the fight, I actually have no problems with this. Jacobs and Derevyanchenko are fighting for the IBF and Saunders and Andrade (might) be fighting for the WBO so Canelo's options are limited right now. How competitive can this actually be though? Canelo should beat Fielding easily despite the size difference and possibly stop him.

I think he will stop him somewhere in rounds 5-8. I think Canelo would have problems with a big super middleweight who can move well and is quick on his feet but Fielding isn't that guy.

Fielding is only about as good as John Ryder, so yeah he's really not that guy. But it's still a fun little fight.

If Canelo doesn't stop him within 6 rounds I'll be surprised.

Part of me thinks the huge size difference could be a tough obstacle and that Fielding does have good power and is peaking at the right time. A larger part of me remembers that Rocky was thrashed in a round by Mundo, basically fought an even fight with John Ryder (who is about Canelo's height) and went life and death with Christopher Rebrasse. Think Canelo might be cautious early and Fielding could have some success, but once Canelo settles in and gets comfortable he'll pick Rocky apart

I don’t know if Canelo stops him but I have no doubt Canelo dominants him and makes him look like the stiff that he is.

Just take about 10 minutes and watch him. He is slow. He throws loopy punches. And he is horrible defensively. Does he have a chin, well we don’t know how susceptible it is but he got blasted in one round vs. Smith.

This isn’t no DLH moving up and facing Strum and getting beat (oh that’s right he won a UD LOL!). They know exactly who Fielding is.

But I’ll watch for free because I watch top end fighters even in one sided fights. All I care about is who Canelo’s fights after that. Get the gimme fight and move on to a real opponent.

I think Canelo will slaughter him. He is not as good an opponent as Lemieux would have been and Canelo would slaughter Lemieux. At least Lemieux can take a punch and is a wicked puncher. Fielding can't take a punch and he doesn't hit hard. Easy work for Canelo.

Basically bro if callum smith can stop fielding in one round look for canelo to do the same or stoppage via bodyshot between rounds 1 - 4

I get that it's a voluntary fight or whatever, but if we're talking about just how much of a blowout this blowout is gonna be, do we really need to see it? If this rocky guy didn't have that belt, we wouldn't be talking about this fight.
