  • Is Santa Cruz avoiding Frampton 3?

Leo hasn't been showing interest in a trilogy Frampton gave him his rematch now it's time for the other way around. They avenged their loss but both Fights were close to make a trilogy so why not?

Also what to make of Nonito Doniare career?

I don't think it needed to happen immediately anyway. Nobody was crying out to see a 3rd fight. Santa Cruz did say he would make a trilogy in Ireland, seeing as he got the rematch where he wanted but then went back on his word when questioned about it. I think he's happy to avenge his loss and not bother fighting Frampton again.

If the money is right, i'm sure it can happen again. I don't think anybody is as interested as they once were though, the demand isn't really there now. If it happens, it would be because both guys come off the back of big wins in future and it seems a natural fight to make again.

As for Donaire, he's been finished as a top fighter for a few years. He'll generally fall short against the top guys right now, especially at 126.

Lets see. Its Framptons preferred fight in August. Santa Cruz said hed fight in Ireland. Itll be 20k+ attendance, in a stadium, PPV, boths highest purse. Doubt he'll go for it myself, well daddy wont

It'll be another good fight if it happens again. Not sure if he's avoiding it but Santa Cruz vs Russell Jr is what I wanna see.

Santa beat him twice. Why would he duck a third fight. Jesus, no wonder you’re red. Have some more.

Frampton isn't the same fighter since the first fight. He's declined steadily. He'd get stopped in a rubber match.

I don't think Santa Cruz is afraid to fight Frampton or any other featherweight. Has he turned down any good offers to fight Frampton a third time.?

I thought it was a bad look from Santa Cruz to not give a re-match after Frampton gave him one and Santa Cruz said if he wins he'd go to Ireland to face Frampton. Having said that I don't think the third fight would have been any different but then again the Mares re-match is unlikely to be any different either.
