140-pounds in the fall? Lomachenko won't accept it. Only 135-pounds!

He’d get his head boxed off even at 140, the difference in speed will be embarrassing, it’ll be like watching and aged Ali getting beat up by Larry Holmes

I guess this is a passing-the-torch offer from Pac. One last payday before he hang it up

He'd be smarter making Matthysse his last fight and try and avoid becoming a Lomachenko victim - that fight is not competitive. It might be worth it if he could make a ton of money from it but I don't see the fight as a particularly big money maker.

On a somewhat related note, wouldn't there be political obstacles in the way of this fight? Would uncle Bob be willing to let Lomachenko fight Pacquiao following what appears to be a rebellious split from Top Rank by Pacquiao? Honestly I'm just waiting for Arum to file his lawsuit and block the Lucas fight, although perhaps with it being in Kuala Lumpar his ability to do so is diminished.

Lomachenko is way too small for 140. Pacquiao says he can make 135 easily. Ray Beltran who trained with him and fights at 135 says Pacquiao is smaller than he is. So why not just make the fight at 135? It means way more at 135 anyway because those may be the two best 135 pounders even with Pacquiao being old. At 140, it's just one top 140 pounder (but not #1) against one guy who is too small for 140. In other words, a fight between zero top two fighters at 140, instead of a fight between #1 and #2 at 135, providing Loma gets past the much bigger Linares in May.
