  • Comparing Golovkin and Spence... Math

Both had 20 knockouts at 23 wins.
Spence gained that record in 5 years, Golovkin in 6 years.
Spence gained that record at age 28, Golovkin at age 29.
Spence gained that record against guys like Brook, Peterson, Algieri and Bundu. Golovkin against guys like Bouadla, Simon, Ouma and Gardner.

Honestly, it's unfair to Spence when you compare him with Golovkin. The numbers and relative quality of competition says it all. Spence is progressing far faster than Golovkin did.

Another funny detail... Golovkin has only in his 2 most recent fights (Canelo and Jacobs) fought at a higher level than the one Spence is currently fighting at, lol.

Great thread. Now tell your mum to get back to work. It's almost dark.

GGG destroyed Brook, so Spence could win against him. If Brook had not fought GGG, Brook would have smashed Spence.

No version of Brook would ever defeat any version of Spence.

But that's also beside the point... We're talking about where Golovkin was at when he had 23 wins, compared to Spence now.

Spence is making progress at a much faster rate than Golovkin.

LOL at what a garbage poster you are. It's easy to see why you are red. Spence is the best welterweight in the world and GGG is the best middleweight in the world. They are not rivals so why the stupid flawed inaccurate attempt at a head to head comparison? They are both feared fighters who are avoided by many of the best fighters in their weight class. They both fight the best boxers who dare to fight them. Neither have ever lost a fight. Spence is great. I am a huge fan of his and a huge fan of GGG who you are trying so hard to trash. Right now Spence has one welterweight championship belt and has made one successful defense of that belt. GGG has three middleweight championship belts and has made about 16 successful defenses of those belts. You hand pick a few of the worst guys GGG ever beat and try to say they are the best he ever beat when you know that's a lie. You try your best to make him look bad to fit your agenda. GGG has far and away the best record of any middleweight and he has more KO wins than Spence has total fights.

I might be wrong but I am guessing you are a huge Brook fan who lives in England. I think Spence knocks out any version of Brook before Brook ever fought GGG. Spence broke Brook's other eye, not the one GGG broke. Both GGG and Spence are much better fighters than Brook ever was or ever will be.

You really need to read a post properly before you answer to it.

I said that those are the 4 best guys Golovkin had beat through his first 23 fights, not through his entire career.

My point is that Spence is making progress at a much faster rate, which no one would be able to rationally deny.

Spence had better promotion and everyone was scared to death of GGG during his real prime
