Remember when he was the underdog against Khan, and made him do the chicken dance? Remember when he was the underdog against Matthysse, and wrecked him? This guy's been on some bullshit, ever since Herrera exposed him. The Rod Salka match put a permanent dent in his reputation, and that Samuel Vargas match made things worse. Now, he wants to fight Brandon "Bum Bum" Rios? Rios came out of retirement, and struggled against a club fighter in Aaron Herrera. Aaron Herrera recently got a boxing lesson from Jessie Vargas. Dude fights up to twice a year like he's Mayweather, but only fights good opponents once in a while. Danny is sus af at 147, and will most likely hold another L if he fights another decent welterweight, or rematches Keith Thurman.

Ive followed Garcia since his prospect days on Shobox and i even picked him to beat Mythesse while everybody else were sucking on Lucas’ cawk but he really failed to capitalize on that major victory. All of his fights were underwhelming even against overmatched opponents.

Thread Starter should stop being such a whiny f.agot
Danny has the 2nd best resume of all the fighters under 30, he cleaned out a division and beat good names to do it , The guy has beat 8-9 current or past Champs. Who else his age has done that
He's coming off his first loss and a long layoff, Rios is a decent opponent
While not the greatest fight( I'm stoked I'm a fan of both ) it's still better then anything HBO / Espn has lined up for 2018 maybe with the exception of Bivol / Barrera

What legacy?
Dude is in it to cash checks. I say that with zero condescension or malice. Once he go the title and took care of Matthyse, dude went into milk-the-title mode. Him, Stevenson and Andre Berto will forever be soft-touch legends.
Jokes on everyone else though, they're laughing all the way to the bank.

What has Danny done at 147? He beat a washed up Malignaggi and Guerrero, demolished a bum, and lost his title to Thurman. Garcia's wasting his prime by being inactive, and rarely ever challenging himself.
He wasn't injured, and Thurman didn't knock him out, so why'd he need a layoff? Dude got outboxed, and disappeared for nearly a year. Brandon Rios wasn't even very good, when he was still active. Pac and Bradley treated him like a heavy bag.
