It is not scientifically proved that THC was the cause.

The kid both died, and, had marijuana in his system.

As is well known to pot smokers, it stays in your system for a long time.

It's overwhelmingly possible that the parents gave the kid second hand hits to make him sleep, and hence it was in his system, but they didn't want to admit it.

Thing is just pretty nonscientific, is all.

The description of the symptoms sounds more like SIDS (sudden infant death syndrome) than any effect of weed. All parents are familiar with the warning of SIDS for at least the first year with their newborn. It is something that happens often enough for doctors to warn new parents about it.

This story seems like it is being sensationalized to fit a specific point of view. Even other doctors noted that the THC would not lead to the death as described.
