Bivol fights nothing like Kovalev. If anything he fights more like Golovkin who has very good fundamentals and the same effortless punching power. Kovalev was more of a limited slugger with power.

Anyway, no. Kovalev cannot unify ever again. Bivol, Beterbiev, Badou Jack, Adonis Stevenson, Gvozdyk, Eleider Alvarez, Joe Smith Jnr even Marcus Browne. Just far too much for Kovalev.

Kovalev should just aim for a belt and cash out on a unification against Adonis who is an old man. Then again Adonis will probably never step up.

Agreed. When your persona is "the Krusher" and you suffer a demoralizing loss against a guy you said "punches like a girl", it's a hill you gotta climb, internally. If he's still hungry, as a fighter, I think he'll do it. Being that he's a family man now though, he may have accepted that boxing isn't everything.
