  • Is GGG getting old or as he not just now had touher opponents?

Since Kell Brook people were sating they saw signs of deterioration and more so after Jacobs then after Canelo

But could it simply be because he is now fighting elite world class opponents and NOT that he is losing it and is deteriorating?

Im sure if he fought some of the lower ranked MW he would take them out easily, like before

Golovkin isn't as good as his fans thought, they can't swallow their pride and admit it so make excuses.

        Bit of both, of course.

Age is definitely a factor! We would never know for sure if Golovkin could beat his last few top quality opponents like Canelo Alvarez and Daniel Jacobs more convincingly, such as by stoppage had he fought them earlier on in his career when he was knocking out those other opponents. However, that's not purely Golovkin's fault because very few of the best boxers actually attempted to take a fight against Golovkin when he was younger. It's not like GGG ducked anybody at 160 pounds. It's only recently they started to lineup and attempted to fight Golovkin, after he became older.

Fact is, very few pressure fighters, if any have beaten opponents at aged 35, whilst their opponents were 5 or more years younger and were one of the top boxers. Golovkin shouldn't be assumed to be any exception to that rule.

Cuts both ways man. Golovkin's more extreme detractors are too stubborn to admit that he's better that they claimed so now they're saying aging isn't a thing. See how that works?

Simple fact is that Golovkin is the most accomplished (and arguably the best) Middleweight of the last 10 years - despite the criticisms it's still a rare fighter that could accomplish what he has. Is he an ATG? IMO no, though I always say it's best to leave such calls to the historians of the future. Is he an extremely good fighter who could put his name in the history books (whether you think it's justified or not)? Yes.

Nobody is getting better at the age of 35.

Most of his detractors never claimed he wasn't good. Just that he's not as good as he is being made out to be by the majority of the fans and media. = Overrated.

hard to admit for a detractor like you that GGG is better than you thought and still dominated a Nelo being past it.

                  GGG is obviously past prime.

Who is getting better by the age of 35?
Bring me up one fighter in history (hope you won't duck the question as usual) and why GGG would be the exception.

Someone that was still improving technically and mentally in their 30s because they didn't turn pro until their mid 20s. So called boxing fans should know that technical ability and mental are just as important as physical. The improvements Golovkin has made in his technical and mental ability far outweighs what he could possibly have lost physically. He's a better fighter now than he was in his 20s. If you're too stupid to see it, so be it.

A fighter like Klitschko was still improving in his early 30s and he turned pro at 20.
