  • Al haymon and floyd

I really see this relationship ending like Don King and Mike Tyson.
One is vulnerable to the other (literally, Mayweather cannot even read a contract), and one is a businessman, who always looks out for his interests first in a crisis situation, and recognizes the sanctity of a contract when things get tight.
Things are obviously very tight for PBC.
With HBO out of boxing, Showtime does not have to press too hard (not that there was any competition overlap anyway). Point is, without HBO, boxing is generally cheapened across the board in the US market.
With Al having tremendous difficulty keeping his fighters active, and the streams of financing totally dry, he really only has Mayweather to go back to.
Overall, it is a very toxic situation for everybody involved.
Mayweather still has his market value when matched correctly. (Against a top guy he can still generate lots of money for the business. Though against Berto as we learned he can't generate ****).
When the **** hits the fan and Mayweather can't fight anymore, and the moneystream is dry, how will he even defend himself?
I bet he'll have to go back to someone like Don Hale or Shelly Finkel, or maybe even Todd Duboeuf and Arum.
Or maybe Don King if he can still fight a bit.

Why do people have a bad opinion of Haymon? His fighters seem to love the guy and he's willing to make fights when others aren't.

Al probably made his retirement money from floyd. id say most likely he has done that just with floyds last 10 or so fights.

Another D- Floyd troll thread lol. Jesus f#cking christ take some easier troll categories than Floyd.

Floyd & Manny are pro-troll categories only. Your troll game is softer than baby sh^t bro. Its fine. Not all of us are great trolls, but you keep trying to jump 30 cars like you are Evel Knievel as you are riding up the ramp on your BMX bike.

                Doubtfu..and here's why..
                • Haymon needed something headlining to break into boxing
                • Floyd needed someone to manage business that needed him as much as he needed them
                • their relationship enriched them both
                • Floyd was the carrot Haymon could dangle to the networks and other fighters
                • Haymon was the carrot Floyd could dangle at the networks to get his money up
                • They needed each other
                • They both got what they wanted out of the relationship
                • Floyd got his money and cut out the establishment of boxing
                • Haymon got his company and a resume that shows he's managed the top boxing events in the past ten years
                • This relationship came at the right time for both and they both got what they wanted out of it

Are you saying Haymon needs Mayweather?

not at all. Hes very shrewd. He stole almost the entire Goldenboy roster and he made a ton of money off PBC while it tanked. PBC was run with investor money and his fighters got paid to fight on it.

He pays his fighters well, but the only thing mayweather needs to be careful of is getting into deals with him as a promoter, realizing how Haymond fuked over DLH.

Haymon is not Floyd's promoter so the comparison is already ****
