  • Are punches on the belt low??

I am abit confused because I always thought hitting on the belt was fair but I see many on here counting those belt shots as low.... some of the shots were low but not all.

I also had Kovalev 4-3 up and thought the stoppage was crap, I think Kovalev was on empty though..... he wasn't coming back from that round.

it depends on the referee and how high the trunks are on the fighter. But it's definitely not as clear as "as long as you don't hit the big stripe it's not low" as some morons were saying. If most of the glove lands below the belt line and some of it lands on the belt line it may still very well (in most cases) be a low blow

the knockout shot was way below the belt line anyway so the entire thread is a moot point. Kovalev was "knocked out" by an 100% illegal blow. Once people start posting the replay you'll see

He wasn't KOed, the fight was stopped because he stopped defending himself. And the reason he stopped was 1/2 due to conditioning and half due to a big right hand from Ward. Maybe next time Kovalev can pull his trunks up over his head.

when you get hit under the belt (directly in the balls) then yes thats low. but on the belt line is fair game. kovalov was hit with 1 true low blow the entire fight and weeks stopped the action for that foul. after that he was hurt with shots on the belt line and above. people who act like they can't see this are kovalov fans crying their a**hole out about him being stopped.

eat the crow and get over it already.

Of course not. It's "Below the belt" for a reason.

We have too many casual clowns here unfortunately.

the knock out shot was actually a right hand. kovalov was GONE after that. what happened after the right hand was a pumeling on the ropes against kovalovs belt line and above because he was defending his hurt body with his long arms.

how in the hell can't u cry babies see that WTF
