  • Nacho Beristain the Worse Corner Man Ever!

its no secret everyone thinks he is a great trainer and yes I agree with that.

    HOWEVER

As a cornerman he is garbage or he just showed up for a paycheck cause he did absolutely nothing and told chavez no advice at all, it was the cutman just telling him to get in their towards teh end of the round.

I think nacho is a horrible cornerman, a cornerman needs to lite that fire in you and give you some advice.

Nacho's style of training is all wrong for Chavez Jr's style.

leave Don Nacho alone. He's part of the Corleones. He was right, Chavez doesn't know how to fight from the outside. Didn't even use his jab like he did against Britsch. Jab, jab, move, jab, move.... nothing.

Poor Nacho with Cheese. I think it was Ellie Sechbach was a jinx.

Bruh, after the first round. What would you have said to change the tide? I knew it was a lost cause at that point.. I think his whole team did too.. It's not like he has the ability to make the necessary adjustments... His only chance was to over power Canelo and they made sure he wouldn't be able to at 164.5 lbs. They didn't just pull that number out if there ass, it was a calculated weight for a reason.

Chavez will never get it, he was better off with Teddy Atlas!

I understand where you are coming from but Jr Is a lost cause. Nacho could have lit that fire before every round and It wouldn't have made a difference.

Last night In the post fight Interview Jr partially blamed Nacho's game plan for his loss and now his story Is that his body just wouldn't allow him to do what he wanted. This was nothing more than a tuneup for GGG In September.

Nacho style is better suited for a boxer puncher. Fighters who can apply their intelligence to the craft on their own. Fighters like Chavez or Angulo have no business being trained by Nacho. When I read on here a couple of weeks ago when Nacho said he wants him to use his speed or boxing or something to that effect with Canelo, I knew the whole night was a lost cause, weight issues or not, Chavez was actually trying to box more than brawling which would be his natural tendency. I know a trainer can only do but so much but Robert Garcia would have been more suited for Chavez for this fight, whether it makes a difference or not, that's another story.

Chavez Jr didn't buy in to what Nacho was selling; simple as that. Freddie Roach had the acclaim to command Chavez Jr's respect, and Nacho had the pull to actually get Chavez Jr to commit to a fight camp.

In the end, Chavez Jr was simply Chavez Jr.

He needs to quit playing around and simply have his father be his lead trainer; have a really solid tactician handle all of the preparation for the fight, but put JCC in front of Chavez Jr on fight night and dare him to quit with his father looking right into his eyes.
