  • Comments Thread For: Duva: Request for 'Neutral' Judges for Ward-Kovalev Denied by Ward

While the majority of the viewing public believed that Sergey Kovalev (30-1, 26 KOs) deserved to have his hands raised in victory on November 19th when he faced Andre Ward (31-0, 15 KOs) at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The trio of Burt Clements, Glenn Trowbridge and John McKaie all scored the bout 114-113 for Ward, who was down in the second round of the contest.

Don't know why anyone would be against neutral judges. Unless of course you don't care about the level playing field, as long as you can get the win, deservedly or not.

First of all, Ward doesn't have any say into that.
Second, Duva agreed to staging the fight in Las Vegas for the money.

      The excuses already started.

      Ward ez as fuck UD

Kovalev is the peoples champ. Unfortunately for Ward, robberies to hold up to true vicories..... its why Kovalev the foreigner has so many fans. And Ward, in his own city has 50 people show up for an autograph session

With that said, Vegas is clearly the most corrupt place for boxing. Worse than UK fighters getting home cooking in UK. Its criminal how corrupted Vegas is and how many foreigners have gotten shafted by Vegas criminals.

Oh well, this time it won't matter when Ward is lying face first like Pac against JMM. LMAO.

come on guys the neutral judges would have favored kov's cleaner punches therefore making them biased in kovs favor.

Ward also denied Kovalev's request to have the event sponsored by Grey Goose instead of Corona

Kov knows now what must be done!

He must listen to JDJ, he told him thru the rounds to stop wrestling with SOG and focus on letting him come to him and walk into his right hand, circle away from his left and make him use his right hand which is horrible!

His training needs to be grounded in upping his stamina, Ward showed his true toughness, chin and heart and he won't be put out easily!

I have it 50-50 still with a slight edge to Ward but going with Kov by KO in the 6th round!

Target the body downstairs early too instead of the 12th round!

Great year for boxing, better than 2013!
