Conditioning coach confident Pacquiao will knock out Vargas
Sen. Manny Pacquiao's conditioning coach is confident that the Filipino boxing icon will knock out WBO welterweight champion Jessie Vargas at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas on Saturday (Sunday in Manila).
Justine Fortune, conditioning coach of Pacquiao, said the Filipino will knock out Vargas between the 6th and 9th rounds.
"We've finished seven weeks... Nothing [more needs to be done]. He'll knock him out. I expect a knockout before six... nine," Fortune said.
Even Pacquiao's trainer, Buboy Fernandez, is also confident that Vargas will be knocked out despite the WBO welterweight champion's rigorous training.
Pacquiao trained for the last time at Griffith Park in Los Angeles on Monday morning (Tuesday in Manila).
Team Pacquiao is scheduled to leave for Las Vegas in the afternoon.
His team said Pacquiao was able to enhance his right hook during their training.
From Griffith Park, Pacquiao trained again at the Wild Card Gym.
