  • What we learned tonight...

1: Brook is Golovkin's best win.
2: Golovkin's skills are very limited and he would be clueless against Mayweather.
3: I got 2 new correct predictions. Did anyone seriously thought that Cuadras stood a chance against Gonzalez, lol?

Ultimate lesson is that when someone turns on offense, GGG just sits there and eats almost all of the punches bcz he has no defense. And when he corners you even if you can't escape to sides duking and smothering works.

Yeah, this fight will hopefully make his fanboys STFU. I have for a long time pointed out how limited his skills are, yet people talk like he's a great technician merely based on his ring-cutting abilities, which Brook also showed to not be that great.

Golovkin got a horrible defense and Brook had him hurt in the first round, lol.

        Some quotes from Macklin:

He is so technically good, he is so well balanced and his feet are so good.

His best thing is, you can’t really see it on TV, but you know when you’re in there – it is how well he judges his distance.

He is constantly just there. You know you’re under threat so you’re burning up a lot of energy.

When I had done two rounds I felt like I had done seven and I was in fifth gear going backwards.
The consensus among professional boxers and trainers is that GGG is the real deal which is why he's avoided so much, but yeah, I'm sure you know more about boxing than those who do this for a living.

When did Kell have GGG hurt? How can you say his ring cutting abilities aren't so great when he constantly had Kell up against the ropes and in the corner?

This fight was almost similar to the Meldrick Taylor vs. Julio Cesar Chavez fight, although Kell didn't have the kind of success that Taylor had. During the legendary fights HBO series, one of the boxing writers had a great observation of how he saw the fight. After 10 rounds, Taylor was well ahead on the scorecards but his face looked like he was in a car crash and you sat there wondering "How did this happen? He was lighting up Chavez the whole fight". That's the case with this fight as well. According to a lot of people, Kell Brook did very well. However his face told a different story.

Golovkin will get hit, but he'll hit his opponent way more and he's incredibly accurate and slowly, piece by piece, his opponent will break down. Golovkin landed 130 punches in 5 rounds at a ridiculous 44% connect percentage.

Floyd wouldn't be much more successful.

Yall act like Brook was outboxing GGG wich never happened except in the second round.

Yall talk about GGG defense but what about Kell's defense??

Who was truly eating punches all night?

GGG outjabbed the shlt out of Kell, won the first round, then lost the second being passive defensively but also offensively, then destroyed Kell for the last 2 rounds.

Kell had some success but GGG blocked most of the punches, and dodged Kell's punches in order to set his counterpunches up.

GGG 's defense and skills aren't bad at all, he is far form being perfect tough, what this guy would need is to bob and wave, then his game would be complete.

GGG starting to get big fight and will probably learn some stuff being tested.

FMJ got better when fighter tested him, like Castillo, Judah...

Both GGG and Chocolatito were 6-1 favorites so congrats on your bold predictions there bro.

I hope the Degale fight gets made.

                I'm throwing big money down.

GGG is limited & hides behind his cutting of the ring/mediocre competition/power

                He'll never go 168
