i'm not salty because of that, but because Seven samurai plot has been adapted in so many movies in many languages. chinese, india, italy, animation even us indonesia have our version of seven samurai.

Wow. Is this a remake of the Yule Brenner version?

I do think a remake is warranted despite how great that movie is, but you have to do it very carefully. If they blow it I will be pretty sad, since all the teenie boppers rarely acknowledge what came before them, and act like that somehow makes sense.

Just watched the trailer.

Looks decent, as a standalone western, and I will watch it because I support modern westerns (so much potential if done right - see 3:10 to Yuma) I would be pretty surprised if I left the theater and ranked it even close to the Yule Brenner version, the version I consider superior to all others including the original Japanese version.
