Im trying to clean up my diet and this is what I used to eat on a typical day, and what I eat now:
My old Diet:
Breakfast:
Either some waffles with syrup, a glass of juice, and a candy bar and a bag of chips and depending on if I have time some scrambled eggs, and some bacon.
and one multivitamin for health
snack:
A candy bar, some doritos, a muffin, and some nuts like salted almonds.
Lunch:
Whatever Fastfood coupon I had, usually McDonalds, or Taco bell or Panda express chinese food. But most of the time it was Sushi fresh tuna rolls, or a fried salmon plate with california rolls.
With a large cup of root beer or dr pepper soda
Snack:
Some trail mix, some starburst or skittles
Dinner:
Sometimes Id grab a pizza meal at this pizza place next to me. Or some more fast food special usually a burger.
with a can of cold soda
If I got hungry at night my snack would be some hot chocolate with a cinnabun warmed in the microwave or some brownies or cookie whatever desert I had in the fridge, my favorite was Cheesecake.
This is what my diet is like now:
I warm up some water put a clove of ginger in after I peeled it, let it boil for a good 30 40 minutes
Pour it in a tall glass squeeze some lemon in it stir let it cool down
I make some eggs omelette
I eat a banana, an apple, and an avocado. (sometimes I mix it up and depending on what fruit I get it could be a pear, could be some papaya, mango, etc.)
Ill half a small bowl of Quinoa with some fresh cut strawberries and blue berries mixed in it as well and wash it down with the warm ginger water.
After I eat that Ill take a dump and take a shower and go to work.
For Lunch, I eat some boiled chicken shredded up and add BBQ sauce to it, I put some wild rice, and some steam broccoli and pack that in my lunch cooler and eat that during my break.
I usually snack on carrots and some roasted unsalted almonds, pistachios lightly salted in the shell and some Cashews.
My dinner is usually Salmon baked with dill on top or Steak or Beef stew, with no rice, mainly veggies and some bake potato, Ill drink some more warm lemon ginger water just heat it up in the tea pot that I had made in the morning.
When I changed my diet after a few weeks I noticed I no longer had constipation, and wasn't having difficulty taking a dump, my midsection was going away I was skinny fat and had a gut, I was taking regular dumps every morning right after breakfast now.
My skin stopped breaking out for some reason when I started eating clean, but after a week it became clean its still slightly oily, but I no longer get zits. my face fat is going away, and my libido went up I am getting morning wood again and im no longer angry, I used to get so irritable when driving to work and little things would piss me off easy.
I do believe the saying you are what you eat, when you consume garbage and processed unhealthy crap you act like it, and get moody, but when you start eating healthy and clean foods none of that canned stuff or foods with lots of junk and preservatives your mindset is fresher and more calm.
Ive been on this diet for a few months now, and im now getting back into lifting weights after a long ass layoff.
I don't drink Soda or Coffee anymore, I don't eat ice cream or candy, the most cheat food 'I splurge on is usually pizza or some chips.
