  • Dry Out Diaries: A Moron Walks Out Of Bar And Into A Black Hole Of Boredom

Good morning you worthless sacks of gorilla shit. I feel bad about ruining my beloved Drunk Lang, one of the greatest threads in BS history, with my struggles with sobriety, age and getting a huge whiff of butt and body odor every time I bang a girl from behind. Hence, I created this thread.

I am embarking on a new journey, and that is a phase in which I do not have a sip of alcohol for at least five weeks. If it goes according to plan, I will have successfully gone without a drink for thirty six days. The day I plan on drinking is St. Patrick's Day Weekend, which every year there's a parade following by a vicious bar crawl on the block in my town which contains a strip of bars. If it wasn't for this day, I would plan on going all the way until Easter Sunday without a drink, which would be forty two days.

What's the big crap about me not having a drink for that long? 36 days would be the longest I've gone without a drink since who the hell knows. We'd have to probably go back to sometime in the mid 1990's. In 2013 I did go 32 days without a drink and I took numerous breaks last year, but no more than 30 days.

So, in the ensuing weeks, I'll be posting all sorts of randomness-- flash fiction, complaints about sobriety, stupid ramblings and whatever else. Feel free to join in and post whatever you like as this is another one of my classic random fuck-you free for all threads that earned me a reputation in this filthy dump.

Also, feel free to post if you are in a dry-out phase yourself.

I believe Sundays are the reason why alcohol was created in the first place. Fucks sake they're boring.

By the way, if I ever wrote a book, you think the thread title would make a good title for the book?

      I like it.

I'm about one month sober myself, didn't count exactly but last time I stopped drinking was around mid January. Feels good but yeah, gets real tedious.

Btw the title isn't bad, long but not too long.

36 hours into sobriety. I'm sick. I give this dry spell another 3 days, tops.

              Good luck man.

The longest I've gone without a drink was maybe 3 weeks. I could go longer, just don't want to since I love beer so much.

I forgot to mention, I now have one week down, four more to go.

I'm reading this book currently. The guy's not a writer but his story is entertaining so far.
