  • Lamont Peterson vs Felix Diaz on Oct 17 PBC

According to Adrien Broner's buddy, Dan Rafael.

Hmmm, so they're possibly going up against the GGG-Lemiux PPV. No station yet, so probably a NBC prime time for head to head or maybe an evening card.

Not a bad fight at all.

I wonder what weight it'll be at, Diaz has fought at 140 and 147 (and higher) but his frame looks most suited to 140 to me.

It's at the patriot center in Virginia. Should just be at the Verizon center. But never heard of this guy. Gold medalist though

seems like a passive aggressive move here. give fans a card with fights they want to see if you really want to try and make a dent in the ggg/lemeuix ppv sales.

otherwise, don't waste your time b ecause most hardcore fans are going to buy the ppv unless the options are worthwhile to watch.

Do something like Frampton/Rigo and Thurman/Porter and people will tune in.

So does this mean Peterson's stepping up to 147? I hope so

Peterson weighed 165 against Garcia ffs.

I've seen his fight against Granados who's a good fighter himself, he's crafty but he can fight as well. Expect Lamont to just outwork him, he's way bigger than this guy.

It might be one of those evening cards so it's not direct competition. Since this is close to Peterson hometown, he's the main attraction (unless they put Gary Russell Jr on the card also from nearby.)

So I don't see Thurman/Porter here. Maybe they're saving that for Cotto/Canelo competition lol.

The fact that this guy is still considered a prospect is pretty pathetic. He's been a professional six years & only has seventeen fights. Pretty obvious he has zero ambition.
