Fights against Robinson would have happened. Those would have been absolute wonderfests. There is likely to have never have been a fight with Maxim for Robinson if Cerdan had not been killed. The business would have been with Cerdan and a few rematches there. I feel Cerdan would win at least one.
The historical picture seems much better with Cerdan in it. Graziano with his style would not have fared well against the fast circling frog. Everything points to a big showdown with Robinson after Lamotta is disposed of in the rematch. This fight, however, is available only in parallel realities, I am afraid.

It is pretty likely that he would have edged out a decision over LaMotta in the rematch. Cerdan was a far better mover and combination puncher than LaMotta. In their fight LaMotta seemed to come out really fast in his hell-fire mode, he genuinely caught Cerdan somewhat off guard with the fast pace (which is why LaMotta's win shouldn't just be dismissed because of Cerdan's injury) but he did get lucky that Cerdan fell and injured himself the way he did. In the rematch i'd say something like 9 rounds to 6 for Cerdan with no knockdowns.

Cerdan was the European Welter & Middle King at the same time if I remember correctly. His only losses in Euro Titles were DQ's because he was a bit overactive haha!
This guy came to the states and KO'd Zale and was winning decisively.
To me he was the best Euro fighter to date, he could box and he could fight.
He was an idol in France and was married to a famous singer and song writer
that was a pop stasr in Europe. This guy had everything going for him and his
future had so much promise. He could have beaten Jake and then fought Robinson in a series of bouts in the States and in Europe. (Robinson loved European fans)
One of many boxings tragedies, Cerdan was a International HoF talent!!!!
Ray.

I think so.
Cerdan would have done better in the rematch IMO.
Even though he was doing well in the first one.
