What are the requirements for ca amateur boxing. When we go to the medical do we get blood drawn or is it just a physical check? Thanks

Dont know about ca, but the basic medical for AIBA their wont be blood taken, its mostly a phiscal check, hearing, vision, blood presure etc...you will have to give a urine sample which gets tested their and then,so if you have drugs or PEDS in your sytem their still going to show up their whitout blood been taken if thats what your worried about, your medicl history is taken into consideration, and any history of deppression etc...they also check if your 2 tests (balls) are intact and ok,and thats about the jist of it really

Call or email any Calif. boxing gym that features amateur boxers. They will be able to give up to date information on your state, region and national competitions.
When amateur boxing was rescued from the AAU years ago the medicals were vastly up dated to a general check the evening of the fight or beginning of the tourney. At the scales you usually did blood pressure and eye exams.

Find an active gym and they'll get you on the right path.
