RSC 2 is always good in the first is even better!
You let him set the pace and let the first round be close. Remember with a more experienced opponent coming back to take the last 2 rounds is NOT easy!
Your jab is good but you need to develop two jabs, a quick responsive jab that comes back fast so you can see what defenses your opponent will utilize. The second jab is a harder punch that has punches coming in behind!
He was ducking over his right knee all the time and didn't roll under so your right hand down at him and your left "upper/hook" more of a upper cut could have been utilize well against someone who uses that move over & over.
Your hook landed quickly but that's what made him move under as soon as you realize your missing your left hook immediately goes to the body! Once you find the body with your hook your right hand will land. The head moves son the body not so much!
Something to think about......I hear your trainers assistant yelling punch sequences to you (numbers) at a tournament I would have a few of my kids right behind your corner yelling numbers at you too! hahahaha don't think it won't happen as you move on in the amateurs.
If you can hear the numbers being yelled that's NOT a good thing. Sit with your coach and let him know that some of your focus is coming away from your opponent to hear the instructions. You and coach have a one minute rest to refresh and give instructions, yelling out numbers is not what you need.
He means well of course and you are green with only 5 bouts but in the future your hard work will take the place of the "eyes outside the ring" I've done it many many many times!!!!! He is excited for you and you to succeed and that's a good thing.
Pretty good....work on situations meaning when this guy ducks to one side what are you options theres many things you can do.
Situations and Options, boxing takes years to learn!!!!!! good luck, chin down.

I really appreciate your insight it was very knowledgeable and beneficial for me. I really don't like when my trainers call out numbers either, because if I can hear it my opponent can as well which will make it easier to tell what's coming.
Thank you once again Ray your insight is always great and this time is no different. I will continue to improve.
Just giving my two cents here but one thing I noticed is that you lacked head movement and got caught with some straights and a hook you didn't need to.
Lots of praise to your power though and you have a very authoritative jab.
Congrats on the victory man.

What weight class are you campaigning in btw?
Yeah bro almost everybody told me that too, its something I'm gonna continue to work on. I fight at 152 btw and I'm 5'11.
Good performance and good composure against a super aggressive opponent who looked like he was throwing some hard shots. You seem to have good fundamental boxing skills, decent defense and power. Only suggestion would be to employ more head and upper body movement as a defensive measure and go to the body more often
