  • New witnesses come forward in the Michael Brown case

    http://www.cnn.com/2014/09/10/us/fer...html?hpt=hp_t3

(CNN) -- Two men, shocked at what they saw, describe an unarmed teenager with his hands up in the air as he's gunned down by a police officer.
They were contractors doing construction work in Ferguson, Missouri, on the day Michael Brown was killed.

And the men, who asked not to be identified after CNN contacted them, said they were about 50 feet away from Officer Darren Wilson when he opened fire.

An exclusive cell phone video captures their reactions during the moments just after the shooting.

"He had his f**n hands up," one of the men says in the video.
The man told CNN he heard one gunshot, then another shot about 30 seconds later.

"The cop didn't say get on the ground. He just kept shooting," the man said.
That same witness described the gruesome scene, saying he saw Brown's "brains come out of his head," again stating, "his hands were up."

The video shows the man raising his arms in the air -- just as, he says, Brown was doing when he was shot.
The other contractor told CNN he saw Brown running away from a police car.
Brown "put his hands up," the construction worker said, and "the officer was chasing him."

The contractor says he saw Wilson fire a shot at Brown while his back was turned.
The men said they didn't seen how the confrontation started.
Jose, I told you he was shot at while he was running away. The officer was shooting at his BACK.

This was murder people, I don't care if Brown was a thug, criminal or a bad person. The punishment for that is not execution on the street.

Hope this officer serves life in prison. We cannot have this type of behavior from the people who are supposed to be serving and protecting us.

Saw that **** late last night.

I don't understand the mentality of people that try to say because he got physical with a store clerk, it's somehow okay for the police to murder him.

Has anyone here ever started a fight with someone? Would it have been okay for the Police to come up and shoot you in the back, unbeknownst to them that you fought someone? But its okay they murdered you, because you started a fight with someone once.

Something similar happened up here n Toronto. There was a huge fight at a park, cops heard about it and sent some plain clothes officers in to investigate. Anyway, fight erupts, cop tries to grab one of the kids and the kid turns and swipes at him with a knife. At this point the cop pulls out his strap and the kid starts running away. Cop guns him down, in the back. What was done about it? Nothing. Cops get away with everything. Politicians have let them, and their budget, get out of control. The whole police system needs to be overhauled.

I fully support cops right to defend themselves if their lives or health is in danger. I just honestly think that cops are so willing to shoot, or go overboard in the way they deal with the public.

There was an incident of a 4'10" girl that weighs 70lbs that was slammed to the ground for not wanting to give up her cell phone in class. The school police called the real police and they came and treated her like she was some wanted criminal.

There's video of it I will try and find it.

I really feel like policing, along with nursing, are jobs that need to be alternated every few years. Their tolerance for people is gone and the smallest thing will set them off and that's why we get incidents like the ones were mentioning. Someone with a short fuse should not be in possession of a gun, nor should they be in a a position of power. Have them patrol for a few years, then stick em behind a desk.

The independent autopsy, which was conducted by the doctor the Brown family asked for (Dr Michael Baden), showed Brown was not shot in the back.

The autopsy showed all the enterence wounds were in the front of his body.

Did the cop show excessive force? Yes. Did Brown have his back turned when he was gunned down? No.

I said the cop shot while Brown's back was turned, why are you shooting if the suspect is fleeing from you? Your life is not in danger, he is running away.

Second, these are contractors that are saying this, and they said they were 50 feet away from where it happened. The story does make sense when they looked into the job they were doing.

Again, this is witness after witness basically saying the same exact thing. That Brown got into it with the cop, ran away as the cop was shooting, stopped turned around with his hands up and was gunned down from a distance of about 25 feet away.

That is NOT what the cop said and his also anonymous witness. He made it seem as though his life was in danger, and it sounds to me more and more that he used excessive force.
