How important is sex appeal in boxing?

specially at Elite level? i see guys like canelo,oscar who are on top becuase of the way they look i mean if you look at the older school boxer like jack dempsey they look like real figthers

Oscar doesn't fight anymore? BUt looks don't do **** when you get in the ring. You cant just be pretty and compete you need skills, but sure helps when it comes to a appealing to a fan base to get to star status. Will having charisma and good looks help you get farther in your boxing career than you should have? Probably. Will it get you to the top if you're not the best? Fk no! Eventually they all have to get in there with the best, and all that matters in that ring is the skill of the boxers, the cream always rises to the top .

Lmao no I doubt just because she's female it would sell like Rousey. We rarely, if at all ever, even acknowledge that in the 2012 Olympics we had a female GOLD medalist at Middleweight.. I've seen people say "USA no boxing medals at olympics" while Claressa Shields is standing there like "Wtf?"
