  • UFC Suing Fans

So the UFC is going after and suing fans who watch streams on the internet, they have been rebuffed except for one default judgment where the fan didn't show for court.

I admit I watch them, I refuse to pay for a PPV and I watch most of them, being boxing or the UFC so I guess I would be a target for the UFC. I don't think I'll waste my time on the UFC 170 Rhonda Rousey PPV since Evans is off the card but if I do watch it it'll be a free stream.

What do you guys think of this, I can understand going after the streamers but, the fans who find or come across them on the internet in my opinion should not be sued.

The UFC is getting too big for its boots. It's downhill from now on.

If this is true, fans should counter sue to get their money back for all the pay per views that didn't live up to the hype or any show dominated by decision wins.

Normally, when we write about things like this, we include a source so people can know whether we are correct or just making **** up.

You are stealing a product the UFC pays millions of dollars to put on PPV tv.

It's like people who steal music from the internet. It takes lots of money, time and talent for these people to do this and you are stealing it.

If I was the UFC, or boxing or some artist, I would go after as many people as I could and have them arrested or pay some serious fine.

I know it's impossible for them to stop this, but if I support a fighter or artist, I actually pay for his product. I also refuse to pay for an artist or fighters product if I don't support them.

So for example, I won't pay another penny to watch Floyd Mayweather fight, ever. That's because he hasn't taken the tough fights and I feel the same way about most of Arums shows as well. They replay the fights on HBO or Showtime and that's when I will watch them since I'm paying for those channels and have that right.

People need to have more integrity.

I agree with everything you said. I support the movies and fights. If it is a good movie I go the movie theather and watch it there. Same with fights.

You're so full of ****. You've never watched copyrighted material uploaded to youtube? Because it's the same thing.

Also no one is stealing. The streamer is commiting piracy. Which is different than stealing. Distributing the content is what makes it piracy. If no sharing is involved it's not illegal. So watching a stream is not illegal. Or else millions people a day would be sued for watching unauthorized videos on youtube. Unless you're watching a bittorrent stream you are not distrubuting copyrighted content. Which would be the only crime.

Kind of, but only about half sarcastic. If the owners are stupid enough to sue fans, they should sue the owners back. They'll never stop and shut down all the streams. Maybe people just don't want to pay 40-50 bucks in this s&*^y economy, especially when most fighters aren't finishing fights on these cards.
