This Q is mainly for the Mexicans among us...
I'm wondering this because from my viewpoint over here in the UK Canelo doesn't seem to be the typical fighter that Mexicans throw themselves behind. He's a counterpuncher and a boxer before he is a fighter and he doesn't have that same machismo you'd expect from a Mexican.
Angulo does have those things. He's rough tough and likes to push the action. If he could produce a mauling KO win (I'm talking the kind where the other fighters will is broken) in this fight could we have true Mexican star on our hands?
Would the more traditional Mexican fanbase flock to the guy who KO'd the pretty boy counter puncher?
Would his previous KO losses count against him?
