  • So We Can Agree Now Alexander Was Always A "Bum" and Never worthy for Mayweather?

It's pretty clear now, as I've mentioned many times, that Alexander was never in the league of Khan or Mayweather, and never a worthy opponent for either fighter. Alexander has always been a "bum" (going by the terminology of some other posters), now you less-knowledgeable boxing fans know the truth, try to learn from the lessons freely provided.

He couldn't even beat a guy that Khan's last opponent drew with.. Imagine if he had fought Khan tonight, there's almost no doubt that Devon would have either quit like he did against Bradley, been straight knocked out within the 12 rounds or lost a very wide UD to Khan..

The truth will set you free.

Now let's stop all this nonsense about Alexander ever being a legit Khan or Mayweather opponent. It's time for Mayweather vs Khan to happen.

I hate the guy maybe like no one else does in this forum... From his smirk, to his spaceship forehead where the FBI has found a new species hiding inside of, to his weird ninja noises when he throws punches, to his style... BUT to call him a BUM is a bit much. He is a decent fighter but nothing close to being at the top level. I've always thought this and still do, my opinion hasn't changed. Porter is a damn good fighter too.

Alexander a BUM? LOL. and amir khan isn't?

Things change rapidly in 24 hours. Yes, thankfully he didn't fight floyd. we learned a lot about shawn porter tonight. he's a new champion and a great exciting fighter. he made alexander look average. i'd be rooting 4 porter against anyone but pacquiao, but I think porter has some weaknesses. he did have a great gameplan though to dethrone devon tonight.

too me, let's see khan vs alexander. why not? if alexander is a such a bum, shouldn't he (khan) want that fight now more than ever? and if khan loses to alexander, what does that make khan?

nobody and I mean NOBODY should actually want to see khan/mayweather

You guys are ridiculous around here. Dude has 300 nonpro wins is a two-time world champion. Of all the boxers in the world, there are only a handful in his division that can beat him.

          A bum??

You are what would qualify as a bum, not Alexander. I am no fan of the guy, I can't stand him, but what the fuck dude.

He isn't a bum. Not elite but not bad.

He already has clear losses against Lucas and Kotelnik but robberies made him seem like he's a great fighter

Call me crazy, Sugar... but I'm starting to want to lol. And I have no idea why... I was opposed to it like crazy but for some reason, I am intrigued. Maybe because from the available opponents I find Khan to be the most offensively dynamic... he jumps from side to side, throws from all sorts of angles and has speed. I've always been drawn to those kind of mobile, flexible, dynamic fighters (like Ortiz, Thurman etc)... It's a style I consider very capable of troubling anybody.

I give him less than 5% of beating Floyd but I am intrigued to see the matchup.

i agree with this. we learned tonight that porter isn't some club fighter that couldn't handle someone with alexander skills. porter is a exciting fighter with power, speed, and decent boxing skills. with the right gameplan he can beat a lot of guys. but devon isn't a bum... he's still top 10 welterweight.
