I was hanging out at the beach the other night with one of my bros, met some girls on the beach and we were partying having a good time.. The beach was near empty it was probably around 7 o clock, we had a few drinks at the bar on the strip and we were all having a good time.
I walked down to the water with the girl i was with and left my friend alone , there was no one around us and the water was freezing.. I was flirting with this chick and she started daring me and egging me on to jump in the water without my shorts on.. I was feeling the liqour a little bit and thought that it might actually be funny, I felt like i needed to impress this chick so i threw caution to the wind and took my shorts off and ran into the water.. which was freezing.. i wasnt exactly impressive running back onto the beach lol, i spent about a total of 15 seconds tops to pull off this stupid idea..
We laughed briefly about what I had just done, feeling like there was no harm... I see off in the distance some dude running full speed towards me, coming from probably about 100 yards away, I was approached by some ******* who started cursing me out for what i had just done, calling the girl that i was with a slut and multiple other negative words.. He threatened to call the police and threatened to hurt me, saying that his daughter was back there.. this person was nowhere near me when this happened, i was very surprised that they even saw it, and the energy this guy was wasting on the situation was very aggressive.. I said hey man my bad im getting out of here sorry i upset you..
I proceeded to walk off the beach and head down the strip to get to the parking lot to get to my car, this person followed me all the way out and i was met by police in the parking lot..
I spoke with the police and cooperated and explained that this person was very aggressive towards me, and that i was simply on the beach trying to impress a girl, i was not arrested and they said they would look into it further, and that i would be contacted the next day if they decide to put a warrant out for my arrest..
I was not contacted yesterday and i have not heard anything, what are the chances of anything coming of this? I spoke with three different lawyers and they all seemed to say that this was a minor case, and that they could easily defend me and that i shouldnt worry a whole lot, thoughts on if the cops would put in the effort to pursue anything? There are cameras on the beach and they did say they would look into the cameras..
